	Why is the Bandstand worth preserving?
	Two main reasons..... Firstly; it is a fantastic community asset that offers an unparalleled open air venue for public events in the heart of Trowbridge. Its stage is large and covered, properly restored and brought back to its former glory it would be the premier such venue in the area and could easily become a sought after location for the staging of open air performing arts. Secondly; it is a significant heritage asset in its own right. As one of the last surviving genuine art deco clamshell bandstands in the country it is of immense historical importance. As such our Bandstand has already attracted the interest of historical and preservation societies from across the region, all of whom are agreed that it is a prime candidate for conservation.
