The Friends of Trowbridge Bandstand (the FoTB) was set up in 2026 as an independent group dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the historic art deco bandstand in Trowbridge Town Park.

The FoTB has been set up as a "local community group", however we have applied to the Charity Commission for England and Wales for formal registration as a charity and hope to have this status confirmed soon.

In anticipation of this registration, the FoTB has established itself up in full compliance with Charity Commission guidelines. This means we have a written Constitution and Rules, along with documented Policies that dictate how we will operate (including how we raise funds, safeguard our volunteers and comply with current GDPR legislation).

Also in readiness for charity registration, the FoTB has been set up as a Foundation Model Trust and is administered by a Board of Trustees of between three and eleven people offering a range of skills and experience all of which will be essential in achieving our aims.
